The Big Ten has voted to cancel the 2020 college football season, the Detroit Free Press is reporting.

The historic move stems from concerns related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, multiple people with knowledge of the decision reportedly told the Free Press.

The conference is expected to officially announce the decision publicly on Tuesday.

The vote has been reported as 12-2 by the presidents of the universities making up the conference.

Ohio State is one of the largest football programs in the conference.
