Four Republicans in the Ohio House of Representatives have co-sponsored Articles of Impeachment against Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine: Nino Vitale, John Becker, Paul Zeltwanger and Candice Keller.

This follows months of discontent about the DeWine Administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic from these lawmakers and others in the Ohio House.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday morning that Becker, of Union Township in Clermont County, “said DeWine’s detractors don’t have enough votes to remove the governor right now.”

A majority of Ohio House representatives would have to support the impeachment for it to proceed. If the articles were to pass the Ohio House with a majority, the case would then head to the Ohio Senate for a trial.
