The Ohio Statehouse is helping promote a number of educational programs to honor February as Black History Month.
Normally the events are presented at the Statehouse, but this year are being held through virtual means. All the events are free to view.
The weekly series began earlier in February with a show detailing the Tuskegee Airmen from World War II, with a recording now available at OhioChannel.org. The series continues Tuesday at noon with a program detailing racial heritage in Appalachia.
The series is organized and presented by We’ve Known Rivers, a Columbus-based organization working to build cultural awareness of African-American History.
